The responsibilities of this important role encompass planning, coordinating and overseeing all tasks necessary for the successful delivery of the project. These include closely communicating and coordinating with the customer and all pertinent third-parties, managing the project schedule, monitoring for risks to ensure critical dates and milestones are achieved, maintaining performance quality and managing project budgets. The Project Manager’s ultimate goal is to deliver the programmed technology solutions for a given project within scope and budget, to meet or exceed industry standards, best practices and expectations, and most importantly to provide a great experience for our customers.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesPlanning and coordination of all project installation phases from pre-wire and trim-out to equipment installation, systems configuration and testing, final commissioning, close-out and training with the customer, confirmation of completion and activation of post-installation services.Setting expectations with the customer, general contractors, and other associated trades regarding product lead times, install schedules, infrastructure requirements, etc.Attending routine Owner-Architect-Contractor (OAC) project coordination meetings as needed to provide detailed updates and outlooks with respect to the technology scope.Attending internal design/engineering review meetings with the project sales and design team to confirm customer requirements and expected functionality.Generating detailed project schedules (Gantt charts) as required.Coordinating release of material orders via D-Tools based on the project schedule.Coordinating off-site equipment staging, rack-build and testing as needed.Field verification of site readiness (i.e., site conditions, pathways, substructures, etc.)Routine visits to project sites to ensure quality and timeliness of project installations.Ensuring site reports are generated and issued as needed.Generating change orders as needed within D-Tools and submitting to project stakeholders for approval.Ensuring proper project close-out by delivering as-built documentation (i.e., test results, as-built drawings, equipment data sheets, uncompiled source code, etc.) and obtaining customer sign-off.Maintaining project files and folders.Tracking and managing labor hours and budgets.Managing the condition of the warehouse, equipment cage and work vans.Ensuring job-site safety requirements and regulations are strictly followed.Coordinating all activities closely with the Regional Operations Manager.Traveling to job sites as required to conduct the above duties.Qualification RequirementsMinimum 5 years of experience successfully performing similar Technology Project Manager duties for a diverse range of AV/IT/Security installation types and complexities.Able to effectively manage project timelines, customer and construction team expectations, employee schedules and delivery dates.Fully understands the minimum installation standards regarding field cabling, terminations, inter-rack wiring and testing, equipment installation and configuration, etc.Fully understands systems signal flow, equipment functionality and proper mounting practices.Fully understands interdependencies between AV systems and adjacent trades such as structured cabling, network activation, etc.Familiarity with AV systems testing and commissioning best practices, standards and documentation.Competent with Windows-based software such as MS Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.Fluency interpreting AV systems drawings and architectural/construction drawing sets.Possess strong oral and written communication skills.Is well organized, detail oriented, and a problem solver.Formal education in Electronics or a related field is preferred.AVIXA CTS, CTS-D and/or CTS-I certification holders are preferred.$75,000 - $95,000 a year
