Responsibilities

Kforce has a client in Austin, TX that is seeking a Senior Product Owner/BA who will collaborate with internal and business contacts to analyze needs and align product roadmap to strategic goals, meet the customer needs, help troubleshoot the issues in applications and serve as product ambassador for the business to IT. The Senior Product Owner/BA owns business requirements for their internal customers, eliciting, documenting, validating, testing, and supporting user requirement stories to ensure business needs are met with a focus on continuous improvement.

Essential Functions:

Assist the Business Partners with process improvement and issue resolutionOwn user stories through the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), verifying and documenting business requirements definition and process design activities resulting from the Business Partner's requests or defect resolutionAssess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics, and themes to ensure work aligns with product strategyPlan and prioritize product development and product feature backlogAssist the Project managers, application developers, and Production Support Manager with other projects, responsible for research, analysis, documentation of production support and defect resolutionCoordinate and meet with Business Partners to ensure defect resolution high-level scope and dependencies are identified and documentedResponsible for QA and regression testingMitigate roadblocks to achieve sprint or release goalsHelp the automation team prioritize work items based on business and product needs

Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field of study; Up to 4 years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of educationCompletion of LOMA insurance courses I and II required within the first year of employment5-7 years of relevant experienceLife Insurance experienceStrong knowledge of life and annuities in the insurance industryExperience in analyzing data to draw business relevant conclusionsStrong knowledge of breaking down process flowsStrong Microsoft Office Suite knowledgeKnowledge of various development methodologies (Agile, etc.)Excellent written, verbal, and critical thinking skillsSelf-motivated in tasking and planningDetail orientedAbility to articulate resolutions clearly, concisely, and in a timely mannerAbility to multi-taskAbility to run SQL queries and write scripts as neededPrior Oracle Insurance Policy Administration (OIPA) experience is a plus

Compensation:Salary: $120,000 - $128,400 per year.
