Job Overview :Selectek is seeking a Sr MEP/VDC Specialist to play a pivotal role in the utilization of BIM technology, uniting professionals throughout the AEC industry. The Sr MEP/VDC Specialist will work closely with project teams to optimize the virtual design and construction (VDC) workflow, ensuring smooth coordination and enhancing project efficiency. The role also involves contributing to the development, implementation, and maintenance of BIM standards and processes.

Key Responsibilities :MEP BIM/VDC Integration : Lead the integration of Plumbing & Mechanical Piping systems into BIM models, ensuring data accuracy and clash-free coordination.MEP Coordination : Oversee the coordination of Plumbing & Mechanical Piping systems with other disciplines, resolving clashes and conflicts to create a well-coordinated and optimized BIM model.MEP Fabrication : Model, coordinate, and create spools for prefabrication.BIM Standards Development : Develop and enforce MEP-specific BIM standards, protocols, and best practices to ensure consistency and quality across all projects.MEP Model Management : Manage the creation and maintenance of MEP BIM models, ensuring accurate representation of mechanical components and systems.BIM Software Expertise : Stay up to date with the latest advancements in MEP BIM/VDC software, exploring new tools and technologies to improve project outcomes.Collaboration : Facilitate collaboration and communication between MEP, Field, and Project Management teams by promoting effective information exchange and coordination.Performance Analysis : Monitor project performance metrics through BIM analysis and reporting, providing insights for continuous improvement.Quality Control : Conduct comprehensive reviews of Plumbing & Mechanical Piping BIM models to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to established standards.Detailing and Documentation : Develop and produce detailed construction drawings and documentation based on BIM models, ensuring adherence to industry standards and project specifications.Software Proficiency : Continuously improve proficiency in BIM software and tools, training and assisting team members to ensure a consistent and efficient workflow.Deadline Management : Prioritize and manage workload effectively to meet project deadlines, communicating any challenges or delays to project managers.Problem Solving : Identify and address issues or discrepancies in BIM models, working with team members to resolve any challenges.

Qualifications :Education : Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.Experience : 3-5 years of BIM/VDC experience leading MEP coordination for large commercial construction projects.Software Proficiency : Strong proficiency with BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Autodesk Construction Cloud/BIM360. Experience with Evolve MEP and Autodesk Fabrication parts is a plus.MEP Systems Coordination : Proven expertise in coordinating MEP systems within BIM models.Construction Knowledge : Strong understanding of construction documents and the Design/Construction process.Skills : Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills. Detail-oriented with a focus on maintaining top-quality deliverables.Additional Experience : Familiarity with sustainable building practices, Laser Scanning, Drones, and Total Stations is a plus.Location : Milwaukee, WI (53226) - RemoteHours : Monday - Friday, 8 am – 5 pmSalary : $60k/yr. - $95k/yr.
