The company is currently seeking a Senior Buyer for their St. Petersburg location. The Senior Buyer will be responsible for planning, buying, and tracking raw materials, supplies, and packaging goods for food manufacturing to meet production demands/inventory levels for a multi-state company. They will participate with the R&D team and maintain vendor relations. The Senior Buyer must plan, organize, and prioritize daily tasks where judgment must be made regarding completing demands on time. Must utilize in-house custom-built MRP and inventory data tools to schedule, analyze, and buy goods.Senior Buyer Functions:Entering and managing dozens of purchase orders for raw materials, supplies, and packagingPlan, schedule, order, and track product using tools, reports, and systemsCreate and use dashboard reporting to monitor and analyze procurement statusMonitor production schedules to ensure required materials are on handWork with production planning, inventory control, unit managers, and accountingExpedite materials and source substitutes to avoid product shortages, as neededResponsible for monitoring the disposition of obsolete materialsHandle supplier returns for rejected products and help resolve supplier's quality issuesComplete vendor or product analysis when sourcing new products or looking for alternativesPartner with R&D team on product development initiatives that require support from procurementTroubleshoot problems and assist others in solving supply chain issues or inefficienciesTrack purchase price variances by productSpecial projects as neededWork Environment:
