Job Description:The Senior Project Manager will support the Infrastructure/Networking team within the Commercial and Executive division. The role provides project management expertise and oversight of concurrent small to large-sized projects primarily focused on IT infrastructure and networking, cyber security, and operations. The Sr. Project Manager will have an entrepreneurial mindset, understand how projects are aligned to strategic goals and be a change agent within the organization.
The Senior Project Manager leads selection of appropriate project methodology; establishes a project plan in collaboration with project stakeholders; builds and motivates a self-directing project team; facilitates project execution, monitoring, controlling, reporting, removes roadblocks, and closes the project in a disciplined fashion.
What you will do for C&F:Plan:
Ensure project objectives and scope, including quality of deliverables, are well defined and understood by project team and stakeholders
Establish initiative approach and methodology - agile, traditional or hybrid
Facilitate and lead workshops/meetings with cross functional stakeholders to prioritize initiatives
Where required, work with vendor management to secure third-party staff augmentation or consulting services
Ensure right resources and build motivated self-directing teams. Identify and estimate the resources and participants required to achieve project goals. Work with resources and leadership to secure and plan for availability of resources
Provide recommendations to senior management as to the number of resources required to complete assigned projects and when capacity is full, explore third party options along with managing and prioritizing a backlog of projects along with stakeholder expectations
Monitor/Measure and Control:
Develop schedule and monitor progress: planned, actual, and projected
Monitor project resources: planned, actual, and projected
Prepare business cases, where required, to justify initiatives and their investment
Identify and mitigate project risks and roadblocks; exploit opportunities
Provide key performance indicators / benchmarks to monitor project success
Partner with team members to influence positive action and accountability for their assigned work
Communicate:
Establish and manage communications strategy for core team and stakeholders
Lead lessons learned throughout the project
Initiate and participate in knowledge sharing activities and best practices, including guilds, to further develop the project management competency within the organization
Serve as the conduit between technical teams and senior management and be able to articulate concepts in both business and technical terms
What you will bring to C&F:
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience is required
PMP designation preferred or equivalent demonstrable experience
Strong understanding of agile values and frameworks
8 + year’s project management experience
Project Portfolio Management experience, a plus but not required
Insurance experience a plus, but not required
Experience in IT infrastructure or cyber security is preferred
Experience with different project management approaches e.g., agile and waterfall
Strong written and verbal communications skills and stakeholder management
Proficiency in effectively driving change and garnering support from stakeholders and leadership
Continuous improvement / best practice mindset
Team player
Problem solving aptitude
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Proven experience in successfully managing multiple projects at the same time
Experience with infrastructure and networking projects; tech savvy
Ability to consolidate information and provide condensed executive level reporting
Strong knowledge of Atlassian Confluence and Jira or other project management applications

To be considered within market range, a salary is at or above the minimum of the range. You may also have the opportunity to participate in discretionary equity (stock) based compensation and/or performance-based variable pay programs.
