Senior Procurement Manager

Reference Number: JLS-5162Location: Indianapolis, INFDA-regulated facility seeks a Leader to manage a small team whose sole purpose is to identify “what’s important”/new trends in purchasing, supply chain, planning, sourcing, etc. for their organization. This professional will not manage commodities but identify cost reduction, data analytics, process improvement, etc. This role is a newly created position that was handled previously by an outside Consultant. A hybrid role: 2 days on-site & 3 days from a home office is desired for this role, every week. No relocation assistance is offered so a commute of an hour or less is acceptable to our client company. This Leader will work with Managers in Planning, Procurement, Purchasing, Sourcing, Materials, Supply Chain, etc.Senior Procurement Manager (Central Indiana....Greater Indianapolis)Responsibilities:Lead procurement optimization, collaborate with category management, and execute market events and RFPs.Develop strong internal stakeholder relationships, aligning procurement strategies with business needs.Employ strategic thinking and analytics to identify cost savings and enhance processes.Ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulations, and continuously improve processes.Communicate procurement strategies and manage end-to-end market events and RFPs.Conduct market research, drive cost savings through negotiation, and guide stakeholders.Requirements:BA/BS degree required (MBA preferred), with 10+ years in procurement or supply chain, including 3+ years in management in an

FDA-regulated

organization

is required .Certifications in procurement or supply chain management are desired.Strong understanding of procurement processes, negotiation, and supplier management.Proficient in data analysis tools, with excellent leadership and communication skills.Adaptability to manage within changing organizations, with knowledge of procurement systems and policies.Experience in negotiations, cost reduction, and demand planning.Prior experience managing people and teams, especially focusing on cost improvement is required.Compensation:Base salary up to 170K/year, depending on experience.
