Chassis Customer Service Manager

Provides high levels of customer service to chassis utilization customers. Manages chassis allocation and use based on customer-specific requirements. Continuously reviews capacity availability to strategically optimize routes for cost and best use of equipment and assets. Orchestrates pool-level asset tracking, research and recovery, and inventory management in support of equipment validations, pool extraction programs, and lease termination projects. This includes tracking, billing and ensuring maintenance of the fleet. Will forecast availability and utilization and provide recommendations to support customer needs.Essential Duties:Research flagged lost, missing, long-stay chassis in use.Assist in reconciling depot and terminal issues.Ownership of chassis induction and de-cooping projects.Oversee and maintain the spreadsheets and reports for the coop and de-coop projects.Communicate with PTSC, PCMC and OAL Directors, GM’s and Operation Management Staff, internal and external finance & accounting teams, Customers, Contributors, Motor Carriers, Rail Roads, and Ports and provide weekly reporting.Utilize multiple systems to provide essential information regarding Chassis Pools, Customers, Chassis information, and location.Customer onboardings and communications for PTSC pool chassis.Provide customers with documentation on how to use GPS Tracking System, including how to register, retrieve registration status, manage step-by-step booking process and return locations.Manage chassis inspection dates and approve necessary off-dock inspection costs.Verify which chassis numbers are PTSC pool chassis and provide requested information about each unit, including items such as provider name, tag number, VIN number, last FMCSA.Coordinate with PCMC chassis yard operations for forecasting customer chassis activities.Work alongside various internal teams.Assist with Customer Service at Storage Yards as needed and for relief coverage.All other duties assigned.Requirements:Four (4) years customer service/operations management experience within the shipping industry.Knowledge of intermodal supply chain including chassis pools, drayage management and Marine Terminal/Rail Ramp principles.Experience with computerized operating systems. CIT preferred.Excel proficiency V and X Lookup, pivot tables etc.Knowledge of and experience with customer contracts.Requires the ability to organize multiple projects.Requires ability to respond quickly in a fast-paced environment.Effective communication and negotiation skills.High level of verbal and written communication skills.TWIC-Transportation Worker Identification Card.Physical Working Conditions:Ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.Able to spend long periods of time at a computer station.Able to drive on terminal and in yards, able to see and hear moving equipment.NOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
