The Technical Services division encompasses Civils and Construction, Rail Operations, Signalling and Telecommunications (S&T), and Track Warning Services. Notably, RSSI stands out as the UK's sole provider of Track Warning Services.

The Managed Environments division offers Arboriculture, Ecology Services, Industrial Rope Access (IRATA), and Vegetation Management

services.

Lastly,

the Welding Services division specialises in Rail Welding and boasts an outstanding performance record, with a 99% first-time approval rate for our welds.

RSSI has over 200 full-time employees and a large contingent workforce covering most of the UK.

It operates from offices in Birmingham, Doncaster, Basingstoke and Cwmbran.

What will I be doing?

We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager within the field of Arboriculture and, Vegetation Management to plan and ensure safe delivery a broad scope of Arboriculture works across our clients. At all stages, you will focus on ensuring that safe delivery is the number one priority whilst also ensuring all works are completed safely, on-time and on-budget. As a natural communicator, you will engage with clients ensuring all parties understand the technical challenges, processes and plans for effective operation and service delivery.

On a day to day basis some of your responsibilities will

include:

Working

with site-based client contacts to ensure the safe and timely delivery of all contracts within scope of works Ensuring all works are completed within agreed commercial and financial targets, working closely with the quantity Surveyor during the project. In conjunction with resource dept plan and manage the upcoming work bank to ensure the timely delivery of service and plan and action strategic client visits. Ensuring that all work undertaken has appropriate documentation which is effectively communicated to all parties prior to

commencement. Coaching

and mentoring junior members of staff to develop skill base and

competence. Ensuring

that the company is compliant with all relevant legislation to effectively manage risk

exposure. Managing

and validating site and equipment inspections to ensure that these are compliant with contractual and legislative requirements. At all times providing the highest levels of customer service to all stakeholders.

What experience would we like you to have?

Our ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the field of Arboriculture and Vegetation Management and will have progressed from site based roles to management positions so as to have an understanding of all area’s of arboriculture and vegetation management works.
