Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position:Bachelor’s degree in music.Knowledge of best practices in music recruitment, application/audition/acceptance processes, and scholarship awards.Experience working with Microsoft Office (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, etc.) and Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., Photoshop, InDesign, etc.).Experience working in a busy, customer service setting.Experience communicating and problem-solving effectively in an organizational setting.Experience organizing and prioritizing responsibilities, including multitasking with frequent interruptions.Excellent written and verbal communication skills (e.g., proofreading and editing).Experience working independently and in collaboration with others.Proficiency in general office and administrative support duties.Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in higher education and/or the arts and music.Experience working with detailed reports.Experience with scheduling and inventory.Job Description

Assist in the coordination of the activities of a program, project, team, and/or area within a department.Job Duties

Recruitment:

Respond to phone, email, and social media inquiries from prospective students.Meet with prospective students during campus tours, Bobcat Days, and New Student Orientations. Provide guidance on application process, auditions, degree programs, and music activities.Give current students basic information about courses, curricula, and registration.Coordinate with the Associate Director for Student Success and music academic advisors in the College of Fine Arts and Communications Advising Center.Applications/Auditions/Scholarships:

Manage the School of Music online application and audition process.Organize School of Music ambassadors and student organization volunteers at auditions and other recruitment activities.Assist with communication of audition results and scholarships awards.Maintain student records, including audition results, placement examinations, juries, Upper-Level Competency Reviews, and scholarship awards.Assist with the compilation of annual assessment reports.Calendars and Schedules:

Maintain School of Music room calendars and reservation requests.Schedule juries, upper-level competency reviews, final exams, and other assessments.Participate in annual calendar meeting and priority scheduling.Events:

Oversee the production of programs, posters, and monitor slides. Edit submitted materials according to School of Music style. Print and deliver materials to performance venues.Increase and spread the public visibility of School of Music events. Post events on the University Events Calendar and School of Music Event Calendar.Coordinate events with performance venue managers at Evans Auditorium and Performing Arts Center and the Box Office Manager.Participate in special School of Music activities (e.g., Texas Music Educators Association, alumni, donor, recruitment fairs), as assigned by the Director.Course Scheduling:

Support the Associate Director for Curriculum and Assessment in building course schedules.Marketing:

Manage promotional materials, in consultation with the Director of the School of Music.Engagement:

Liaise with music student organizations.Facilities:

Assist with equipment needs and inventory.Other related duties as assigned by the Director.Additional Information to Applicants
