This is a grant funded position. Continuation of this position is contingent upon grant funding.Reports to the Director of Student Support Services (SSS STEM) at Texas State University-San Marcos. The SSS STEM Grant Specialist is a member of the SSS STEM administrative team and promotes educational achievement retention, good standing, and graduation for program participants.Evening and weekend work may be required.Job Duties
Provide counseling/advising (e.g. academic, career, financial, personal) to students who meet program eligibility requirements.Determine student academic needs and develop individualized student success plans.Schedule monthly student meetings.Document student contact/progress.Assist with marketing, recruitment screening and selection activities.Advise the SSS Association/Peer Pals.Assist with record keeping, program evaluation and ongoing program improvement.Assist with trips and events for participants.Additional Information to Applicants
