The starting hourly rate for this position is $19.00 per hour.The Operations Associate is responsible for performing the daily activities required to operate the Rink facility (Ice or Inline), including all aspects of customer service, cash handling, and skate guard during public sessions.Responsibilities

The Operations Associate will be assigned to one or more of the following skill areas:Front Desk/Reception:

Communicate rink program information to GuestsOperate Point of Sale system in a skillful, expedient manner while efficiently and accurately performing daily cash handling activitiesCoordinate locker room check-in and check-out proceduresGreet and assist Guests throughout the facilityAnswer telephone in a cheerful, courteous and timely mannerSkate Counter:

Efficiently distribute skates and assist Guests in proper skate size selectionManage customer flow including timeliness of service and line flowCollect, inspect and properly store skates to correct location.Sharpen/maintain rental skates for quality performance/presentationSnack Bar (Not at Great Park Ice):

Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of menu items, recipes and prices for the Snack Bar operationEfficiently and accurately perform daily cash handling activitiesSkillfully operate food and beverage equipment machines and prepares product in a proficient mannerManage customer flow including timeliness of service and line flowSkate Guard:

Safeguard public sessions to assure exemplary Guest experience and safety by monitoring activity on rink surfaces and in other controlled areasMonitor rink conditions; remove debris from rink surfaceMust be able to skate for up to 2 hours or willing to learn to skateMaintain encouraging and attentive demeanor throughout sessionMonitor safety of skaters including proper usage of skates and other equipmentScorekeeper:

Efficiently and accurately perform scorekeeping dutiesCommunicate effectively with referees in fast paced, dynamic environmentParty Host:

Set up and decorate party room prior to guest’s arrivalSet up appropriate facility signageMaintain a positive and attentive demeanor throughout the partyProvide outstanding customer service throughout the event, ensuring that food is served on-time, assisting with skate size selection and timing of skateAll above areas are responsible for:

Providing excellent customer service by enthusiastically servicing Guests while performing a multitude of diverse tasks, being thorough, accurate and prompt when responding to Guest inquiries and when necessary directing the individual to the appropriate AssociateDemonstrating the initiative and commitment to communication and teamwork to assure optimal Guest ServiceAdhering to First Aid and emergency guidelines and proceduresBeing alert to and communicate safety/security problems to Shift Manager in a timely mannerAdhering to manufacturers specifications when using equipment or materials in order to assure no risk to self, fellow Associates or GuestsMaintaining The Rinks housekeeping standards for all areas of the Rink including; lobby, bleachers, restrooms, meeting spaces, locker rooms and officesAssisting in annual maintenance projectsPeriodically, efficiently performing clerical activitiesMaintaining a professional and organized demeanor when dealing with both internal and external GuestsProviding services as required for special events, tournaments and competitionsPerforming various tasks as necessitated by Guest Service or facility requirementsAdhering to all Rinks policies and proceduresSkills

The Rinks Development Program launched in 2009, and consists of seven local hockey and skating facilities throughout Southern California: six ice rinks - Anaheim ICE, Lakewood ICE, Westminster ICE, Yorba Linda ICE, Poway ICE and Great Park ICE, as well as one inline facility - Irvine Inline.The Rinks offer a variety of hockey and skating programs for participants of all ages and ability levels. The Rinks is home to thousands of youth and adult hockey players as well as recreational skaters to competitive Olympic figure skaters.The Rinks organization is proud to be part of Anaheim Ducks & San Diego Gulls Hockey Clubs and Honda Center.
