Position SummaryThe Team Leader is responsible for supervising daily production in a department. This position works directly with Team Members and the Assistant Production Manager. Time may be spent working with the EHS Manager, Maintenance, TMX Manager, Production Manager, and General Manager.

Essential Responsibilities

Daily ensures all TMs adhere to and are compliant with quality assurance requirements/codes.

Direct team effectively in each department to ensure timelines and production priorities are met.

Ability to lead varying sized teams with a focus on developing a culture of mutual respect, recognition, teamwork, and accountability; demonstrates these qualities daily.

Ability to work with all production teams.

Committed to providing substantial training for all TMs whether they are new-hires or tenured TM performing a new task. Additionally, identifies and initiates opportunities for job rotations.

Elevates safety mindedness daily for self and team by promoting, identifying, correcting, and improving safety within immediate department as well as the entire plant. Put Safety 1st with daily/weekly ISO and Safety stops/audits.

Uses technology to complete job functions, including training and EHS/ISO required documents.

Lead, guide and direct team members.

Champions company initiatives, as required.

Provides backup in case of absence of the Assistant Production Manager (scheduling, meetings, other duties as assigned).

Participates in month-end inventory counts through completion/posting.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience.

Excellent planning and organizational skills.

Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills at all levels.

General working knowledge of technology and Microsoft Suite on computer and tablet, or ability to learn.

Must be detail-oriented and can multi-task effectively.

Demonstrated adherence to safety protocols.

Ability to adapt quickly and make sound decisions in a changing, fast-paced work environment.

Forklift certified/pallet jack certified required within 30 days of starting position.

Physical Demands

Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally carry up to 80 pounds.

Must be able to work while stooping, bending, crouching, crawling, pushing, and/or pulling.

Work environment is primarily indoors.

Work primarily involves standing, up to 4 hours at a time.
