Location: Dallas, TXIndustry: Aviation (145 Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul Station)The Procurement Specialist is responsible for managing the procurement and supply chain processes for an aviation 145 Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) station. This role involves acquiring goods and services, managing supplier relationships, and optimizing inventory levels to support maintenance and repair operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of aviation parts, regulatory requirements, and supply chain management.Key Responsibilities:Sourcing and Purchasing: Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for aircraft parts, tools, equipment, and services. Develop requests for quotations and proposals, analyze supplier responses, negotiate and award contracts, and manage post-award supplier activities.Inventory and Supply Chain Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels, forecasting data, and supplier performance. Optimize supply chain planning by incorporating customer and supplier planning decisions to reduce material and product variability.Supplier Management: Act as an authorized agent of the company for all supplier-related activities. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, addressing any issues related to quality, delivery, or performance. Ensure all procurement activities comply with FAA regulations and company policies.Process Improvement: Manage and improve supply chain management processes. Use simulation and modeling to forecast demand and optimize total supply chain planning. Implement strategies to enhance procurement efficiency and reduce costs.Customer and Internal Interfaces: Interface with internal departments and external customers to align procurement activities with operational needs. Ensure timely and effective communication regarding supply chain and procurement matters.Qualifications

Required Qualifications:Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Aviation Management, or a related field required.Experience: Minimum of 6-9 years of procurement experience in the aviation industry, with a focus on MRO operations.Knowledge: Strong understanding of aviation parts, components, and regulatory requirements. Familiarity with FAA regulations and supply chain management practices.Skills: Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
