HDR is hiring a Senior Highway Project Manager for our Orlando, Florida office.
Primary ResponsibilitiesDirect and coordinate work of single or multidiscipline teams throughout the project's lifecycle (from development & initiation to close-out)Supervise large project staffs and act as mentor for less-experienced Project ManagersResponsible for all aspects of large multidiscipline projects or medium-sized projects with high degree of technical complexity, involving a large project staffPrepare and oversee the following elements of various sizes of contract plans, specifications and estimates: roadway sections, alignment/right-of-way plans, temporary erosion control plans, site preparation plans, roadway profiles, drainage plans and profiles, utility plans, paving, pavement marking plans, signing plans, traffic control plansManage moderate to large projectsManage the following work elements: day-to-day communication (verbal and written) with the client, support and advise junior engineers and technical staff, write reports and technical memos, coordinate with subconsultants, keep project on schedule and within budget, and keep client satisfiedConduct work sessions for deliverable development in conjunction with other staff and stakeholdersCoordinate staffing and workload through entire project life cycle, and ensure completion of deliverables on scheduleProduce and coordinate several projects concurrentlySupport marketing efforts to develop client relationships, develop pursuit capture plans, prepare proposals, attend interviews, and prepare project technical and price proposalsUse client relations to support growth of highway design projects in the areaPreparation of scopes, budgets and schedulesEstablish and maintain client relations, and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetingsTrack financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort with team to ensure that work is completed within parameters of agreed-to budget and scheduleWork with the Accounting, Operational and Business leadership for periodic project reviewsImplement QAQC proceduresPerform other duties as needed
Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in EngineeringA minimum of 10 years related experienceA minimum 5 years of project management experiencePE license - must be a Florida license or have the ability to obtain it within 6 monthsDemonstrated leadership, business development and strategic planning skillsAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
