Above all, we believe that collaboration is the best way forward.Primary ResponsibilitiesHDR's engineering practice in the Mid-Atlantic continues to grow and is in need of experienced Project Managers in the Transportation field. These are key leadership roles for the area and will be responsible for helping to continue the growth of the program. We're looking for individuals with strong backgrounds in multidiscipline project delivery supporting public agencies in Virginia, Washington D.C. and Maryland.In the role of Senior Project Manager, we'll count on you to:Direct and coordinate work of single or multidiscipline teams throughout the project's lifecycle (from development & initiation to close-out)Be responsible for all aspects of large multidiscipline projects or medium-sized projects with a high degree of technical complexity, involving a large project staffProduce and coordinate several projects concurrentlyEstablish and maintain client relations, and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetingsConduct work sessions for deliverable development in conjunction with other staff and stakeholdersCoordinate staffing and workload through the entire project life cycle, and ensure completion of deliverables on scheduleTrack financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort with the team to ensure that work is completed within parameters of agreed-to budget and scheduleWork with the Accounting, Operational and Business leadership for periodic project reviewsImplement QA/QC proceduresSupervise large project staffs and act as mentor for less-experienced Project ManagersPerform other duties as neededRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Planning, Environmental Sciences, or other technical field10 years progressive experience within the transportation field including documented task and project management successA minimum of 5 years project management experiencePE licenseMS Office and MS Project experience is requiredDemonstrated leadership, business development and strategic planning skillsAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant in our employee-owned culture is a mustPreferred QualificationsMaster's degreePrevious experience with local transportation clients is strongly desiredPreference given to local candidatesWhy HDRAt HDR, we know work isn't only about who you work for; it's also about what you do and how you do it. The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions.
