The ARFF Specialist will ensure that emergency equipment is continuously maintained in a high state of readiness; provide currency training as necessary; provides rapid response to emergencies; provides first aid to ARFF victims as necessary. Performs other duties as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications:
HS Diploma or GEDPossess a valid driver's license and be able to pass an MVR background checkCertified EMT BCertified Ohio Firefighter I or IIAbility to pass a Medical Pulmonary Function test and annual OSHA physicalAbility to bend, stoop and manipulate tools in tight spacesWork in adverse outdoor weather conditionsWear respirator safety equipment as indicatedLift objects weighing up to 65 poundsPossess excellent communication skillsPerform work at heights
Preferred Skills:
Prefer certification as a First Aid and CPR instructor1 year experience responding to medical emergenciesExperience in the testing and inspection of building sprinkler and alarm systems per NFPA standardsHas completed 40 hour ARFF course
