Position Overview:The primary responsibility of the NQAM is to oversee all aspects of the ValvTechnologies quality assurance program specifically for the Nuclear Industry. The position reports to the Quality Director. ValvTechnologies operates under a 10CFR50 Appendix B Safety Related Program with Part 21 responsibility. VTI also has an ASME Section III Division 1 Class 1, 2 and 3 N Stamp Authorization for the manufacture of valves, and an ASME NPT Stamp authorization for the manufacture of nuclear grade parts. The NQAM is responsible for ensuring day-to-day processes and procedures are conducted in accordance with the ValvTechnologies Nuclear Quality Assurance Program. The responsibilities also include but are not limited to the review of all commercial grade dedication documentation and purchase order requirements culminating in the development of a Certificate of Conformance to accompany outgoing shipments. The position requires limited travel for periodic source surveillances and audits when needed for Program implementation, NUPIC, and NIAC compliance.

Core Qualifications:BS degree or higher in technical, business, science or engineering field, and/or former Military Nuclear Qualified with relevant work experience preferred5 years experience in the area of Quality Assurance/Control, preferably in the Nuclear Industry.Working knowledge of the relevant nuclear programs for compliance to ASME III, 10CFR21, 10CFR50, Appendix B, ANSI N45.2, and ASME NQA-1Lead Internal Auditor experience a plusMinimum three years experience in manufacturing or production work environmentThorough working knowledge of applicable ASME, ISO9001, ANSI, and SNT-TC-1A (NDE) industry standards and specificationsExperience with ASME II materials and ASME V non-destructive examination methods

ResponsibilitiesJob Responsibilities:

Safety Related and ASME ProgramsWrite and maintain all Nuclear QA programsWrite and maintain all QA departmental procedures and work instructionsAssist with enforcement of all requirements of the quality programs.Ensure effectiveness and compliance of QA programs through audits and other methods.Interface with the ANI and ANIS as required.AuditsMust be/or become a qualified lead auditor in accordance with NQA-1 requirementsPerform all internal and external audits per scheduleRecord any resultant non-conformances and process their resolution.Corrective ActionOversee and process NCRs and communicate NCRs to appropriate personnelIssue and Process Corrective Action RequestsDocument and answer Customer ComplaintsDocumentationAdminister QA Databases, including but not limited to the following: Document Management, NCR, CAR, ASL, Work Order (MTR)Continual ImprovementMake improvements in targeted areas as directed by the DQA.Training ProgramsWork together with the DQA, NEM, and HR Manager to implement training programs.Conduct training classes.Ensure documentation of training.May perform any other work-related functions as deemed necessary and appropriate by immediate supervisor, including non-assigned sales orders as directedSkills and AbilitiesHands on ability to implement, direct and train all employees on ValvTechnologies QA ProgramAbility to promote QA Program, encourage others to react to and accept changes and to move in new direction as neededExercise prudent judgment to handle and resolve all compliance, QA issues in a timely mannerProficient in MS Office Suite specifically MS Excel, and experience with ERP/MRP systemsAbility to work in a team-oriented environment that is fast paced and demandingMust be self-directed, have excellent initiative and organizational skillsExhibits a strong ability to handle multiple demands with a sense of urgency, drive and energy.Works well meeting multiple deadlines with the ability to deliver on timeExcellent written and verbal communications skills
