POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Project Manager will coordinate people and processes to ensure that the Center of Excellence engineering projects are delivered on time and produce desired results. This position will develop detailed project plans, ensure resource availability and allocation, and deliver every project on time and within budget and scope. These projects will include iterative updates to current products, engineering changes, production line moves and new equipment implementation.

CORE FUNCTIONS

Track status and timing of top engineering design and process changes for the Springfield and Rogersville, MO manufacturing facilities as assigned by management. Projects could include new application releases, DTV, obsolescence, and major CI engineering activities. Facilitate weekly change notice and engineering project meetings.

Work with site leadership and vendors to determine availability of resources.

Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels and escalate issues, as necessary, according to project work plan. Lead weekly project status meeting.

Assist in the planning of product development cycle and resource plans for future projects.

Serve as a mentor and learning resource for entry level Project Managers to guide and support their growth, fostering a collaborative environment where knowledge sharing is encouraged.

Ensure compliance to all PMO standards for Project Management (processes, forms, reporting etc.) for hard and soft folding Centers of Excellence.

Other duties as assigned by the Engineering Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience

Minimum of Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of experience required or minimum of 10 years of project management experience and/or education combined.

Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge

Skilled in Microsoft Office products, including Excel and Project.

Ability to put business plans together to evaluate proposed changes.

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and others.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Ability to coach team members on Project Management processes and procedures.

Travel

Minimal travel required.

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no supervisory responsibilities but will serve as a mentor to the entry level Project Managers.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position is subject to sedentary work; exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involved sitting most of the time. Walking and standing are required only occasionally.

Physical Activities

This position is subject to the following physical activities: standing, walking, talking, hearing, and the use of hands, wrists, or fingers in a repetitive motion.

Visual Acuity

The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly of fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.

Working Conditions

This position primarily operates in an office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
