Vicmead Hunt Club (VHC) located in Wilmington, Delaware is actively seeking an experienced Facilities Manager that has a strong record of leadership with a positive and focused approach. Job Summary:

The Facilities Manager oversees the maintenance and operational efficiency of Vicmead Hunt Club and Bidermann Golf Course facilities. This role includes managing buildings, grounds, equipment, and coordinating with department managers to ensure seamless operations and exceptional member service.

Success Traits of Individual:A high degree of integrity and a proven track record of strong analytical skills, excellent time management, and organizational skills.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels, members, and management.Ability to successfully set clear expectations, set priorities, and delegate effectively.Holds individuals accountable for outcomes, while providing constructive feedback and support.A reputation for taking ownership and being able to effectively communicate, both in writing and in-person, in a professional and appropriate manner is critical.Demonstrates a strong desire for continuous learning and professional development.He/she should also have a positive attitude and be willing and able to work a varied schedule (40-50 hours with availability for special events & emergencies).Initial Priorities:Develop a positive rapport with fellow members of the Leadership team and the Facilities Team Members.Gain a thorough comprehension of and evaluate the operation, roles and responsibilities and provide the General Manager with an initial assessment approximately ninety days after commencing the role.Properties & Facilities Oversight:Vicmead CampusClubhouseOutdoor Tennis & Pickleball CourtsMaintenance Building & Water StorageIndoor Racquets BuildingPaddle Courts & HutStables & Riding ArenaTenant operation, Club maintains building.Bidermann CampusFarmhouseCart Barn & Milk BarnGolf Shop, Offices & Locker RoomHalfway HouseResponsible for all systems including but not limited to:Septic SystemsElectrical & LightingKitchen EquipmentPlumbingPumps & WellsHVACMechanicalRoofing & Gutter cleaningsBuilding structures – floors, walls, etc.Pool Filtration and sanitation systemInteriors – furniture, fixture, wall coverings, paint, carpet, etc.Underground UtilitiesLandscaping, walking trail, fences & signsMaintenance and repair of appliances, tools, etc.Maintenance & upkeep for Clubhouse vans, trucks, passenger vehicles and utility vehicles (golf carts & maintenance equipment not included)IrrigationSecurity System & CamerasHydroCourt & Sprinklers for Har- Tru Tennis CourtsPreferred Qualifications:Associate’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering technology, HVAC technology, or equivalent technical education and/or experience.Minimum 3-5 years of experience in facilities management, with at least two years in a supervisory role.Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook)Ability to sit, stand, use hands to handle, feel, or reach.Ability to walk, run, twist, stoop, kneel, climb ladders, crouch or crawl.Must regularly lift and or move up to 50 pounds.Work flexible hours based on Club needs, including evenings, weekends, and rotational holiday schedule.Annual seasonality requires the ability and willingness to work in a variety of environmental settings which include extreme cold or heat.Currently holds or is willing to obtain the following certifications (Club to support related expenses) immediately: Pool operator, Approved Sampler & Testing (AST), First Aid/CPR/AED & bloodborne pathogens.Working knowledge of OSHA standards and practices. EPA/OSHA Certification preferred, but not required.Possession of a valid Driver's License (not suspended, revoked or canceled, or disqualified from driving).Salary and Benefits:Vicmead Hunt Club offers a generous compensation package including salary, bonus, and a benefits package that is commensurate with qualifications and experience.$80,000 - $100,000/YearHealth/Dental/Vision and Section 125 Cafeteria Plan (after 60 days of employment). Employee/employer contribution subject to annual adjustment based on renewal. As of 2024, approximately 70% of employee plan premium and 50% of dependents premium is paid by Club.STD/LTD/AD&D/Life Insurance after 6 months of employment401(k) 25% of the first 6 % after one year.Full time employees are eligible for up to 10 paid holidays.Club is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day.Professional development opportunities, following approval.Uniform allowanceCompany-provided vehicle and cell phone.This is a salaried position exempt from overtime.
