The Compliance Specialist has critical ownership of ensuring multiple properties remain compliant with Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) and other affordable housing programs. By maintaining accurate records, liaising with regulatory agencies, and guiding property staff, this position safeguards operational integrity and minimizes regulatory risks.Variety & Challenge:

The Compliance Specialist role involves a diverse array of tasks, from overseeing LIHTC lease-up activities to conducting regular site visits and file audits.Career Growth:

This position offers a clear path for career advancement with opportunities to lead a team and engage in high-level decision-making.As a Compliance Specialist you will:Oversee and coordinate LIHTC lease-up activities, ensuring compliance with initial qualifying guidelines and tax credit delivery schedules.Conduct regular site visits to review files, provide support, and offer training to property staff on compliance practices.Manage and review resident certifications, including Move-Ins, Transfers, Annual and Interim Recertifications, and income calculations.Ensure accurate completion of federal, state, and local reporting requirements, and assist with regulatory agency audits.Develop, implement, and maintain compliance documentation and procedures, while providing superior customer service to residents and stakeholders.What You Will Get:

Extensive experience in LIHTC compliance and property management, with a strong understanding of affordable housing programs and regulations.Proficiency with property management software (e.g., OneSite) and Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with executives, regulatory agencies, and property staff.Strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple projects, meeting deadlines, and adapting to changing priorities.Relevant certifications such as C3P, TaCCs, SHCM, or HCCP, or willingness to obtain necessary certifications through company-provided training.What Do You Think?Does your experience reflect what it takes to be successful in this role?
