Reference Number: 153832Location: Stockton, CA USBuilding Materials ManufacturerCompensation: $70,000 base salary, plus bonus, depending on past salary history and experience.The Warehouse Manager / Supply Chain / Logistics Manager directs daily supply chain and warehouse operations by performing the following duties personally or through direct reporting associates.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Participates in planning personnel safety, training and plant protection activities.Ensures safety procedures are followed and makes recommendations regarding safety issues.Scheduling with freight companies.Directly supervising a team of up to 6 associates in warehouse.Lead receiving, pulling and dispatching of inventory/orders.Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training associates; planning, assigning and directing work; assisting with performance appraisals; recommending rewards, assisting in disciplinary action, addressing complaints and resolving problems when possible.Interfaces and communicates with sales department and customers regarding service.Maintains daily workflow for delivery orders.Supervises associates working in warehouse and delivery drivers, assisting them during peak business hours.Ensures replenishment orders and returned merchandise are processed according to company standards.Maintains a customer service oriented philosophy in all conduct of self and subordinates.Ensures operational procedures are followed for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials and keeping warehouse inventory current.REQUIRED SKILLS:Ability to lead workflow through JDE WMS system, including location zoning and use of RF scanners.Ability to lead productivity in warehouse environment, including FIFO management, 5S “lean” methodology, and efficient use of racking system.Ability to lead and report and track and improve inventory accuracy.Ability to lead the use of bar coding and license plate WMS systems.College degree is helpful, but not required, when sufficient work experience is considered.Ability to speak Spanish is not required but is helpful.Ability to work under deadline pressure and to prioritize work duties.Ability to prepare clear written memos and reports and make presentations to management.Ability to operate a fork lift safely and lead forklift safety training and operator training would be helpful.
