Supply Chain Manager
for
Clinton, IA .
Supply Chain Manager Primary Responsibilities
Manage logistics process for raw materials, inbound/outbound products, inventory control, production scheduling, shipment, delivery, and returns on products.
Oversee all production planning, production scheduling and shipping scheduling.
Oversee all receiving aspects of the plant to include materials and production items.
Keep detailed records, generate reports, and develop presentations to help manufacturing understand the logistics perspective and KPI's.
Build relationships within the company and with external parties, such as suppliers or distributors.
Read and comprehend legal documents, such as contracts or import/export agreements while working with corporate procurement.
Collaborate with others to identify problems and find solutions to ensure the efficient operation of the manufacturing facility.
Ability to manage logistics of all aspects of supply chain, from product development to the shipment of finished items.
Work closely with Sales to ensure on time delivery, to avoid late fines.
Direct department and lead in creating, maintaining, and enforcing Shipping and Receiving policies and procedures.
Plan appropriate warehouse layout design to maximize storage while maintaining a safe working environment.
Help develop and integrate a WMS.
Assist in monthly physical inventory of finished products and reconcile warehouse inventory variances.
Supply Chain Manager Experience
3 to 5 years of management experience in a manufacturing facility.
Experience in Logistics preferred.
Supply Chain Manager Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong communication skills and the desire to build solid work relationships.
Maintain clear and open communication between all departments.
Supply Chain Manager Education, Licenses & Certifications
Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) in related field from a 4-year college; or equivalent experience.
Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software is desired.
Supply Chain Manager Additional Information
Computer skills require usage of Excel, Mini Tab and People Soft, creation of graphs and charts, Word, Power Point and Atlas Email system.
Good mathematical skills that include statistical process controls.
