to join our Supply Chain team. It’s an exciting time to work for Idaho Power as we work toward our goal of providing 100% clean energy by 2045, playing a critical role in our customers’ lives and the communities we serve across Idaho and Oregon.While this position is based at Idaho Power’s Boise location, we offer both flexible schedules and the opportunity to work up to 40% remote.What does a Senior Supply Chain Analyst do for us?A Senior Data Analyst develops, leads, and executes data analytics strategies to support Idaho Power’s Supply Chain objectives. They are responsible for developing statistical measurements and creating and providing reports, insights, information, analysis, and recommendations which support supply chain management in effective, informed decision making and cost management relative to procurement and inventory management strategies. They are responsible for developing and monitoring metrics or Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to help leaders measure and track performance. They analyze data and make recommendations on business opportunities. They assist with the necessary gathering, cleaning, analyzing, and development of data reports.A COMPETITIVE CANDIDATE WILL HAVEAdvanced understanding of ERP and financial database systemsReporting applicationsMicrosoft Excel, including essential data reporting functionsPreferred:Pulling data from OLAP data cubes utilizing various toolsSQL language, including development and writing custom queriesMicrosoft Power BI or Tableau, developing custom dashboards, and metrics.Programming languages, such as R or PythonSAS, statistical analysis software suitesSkills In:Gathering, cleaning, and analyzing dataDevelop, create, and present report dataEffective communicationResearch and analysisImproving data models and efficiencies in reportingExcellent organization, prioritization, and time managementAbility To:Identify, design, develop, and maintain analytical and reporting toolsDevelop and apply quantitative economic modelsMeet deadlinesDetail-oriented and proficient in gathering, organizing, analyzing, and communicating informationCommunicate and work effectively with others both within and outside IPC and at all levelsBuild strategic working relationshipsDevelop and improve job processesUse judgment to creatively solve problemsUnderstand and carry out complex written and verbal instructionsLead cross-functional teamsPresent to management or other employeesCommunicate with various levels of suppliers and employeesWork with minimal supervisionWork in a regulated or compliance-oriented environmentEducation:MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business or related fieldORAn equivalent combination of education and experiencePreferred:Computer or Information Technology degree, with emphasis in Data Analytics or Data Analytics degreeExperience:5 years of professional experience in supply chain analysis, statistical analysis, accounting, or financePreferred:7 years of professional experience in SQL querying and report creation, supply chain analysis, statistical analysis, accounting, finance, with data base analysis, process improvementLicenses & Certifications:Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record based on driving requirements for the positionPreferred:Certified Supply Chain Analyst (CSCA)Power BI Data Analyst CertificationPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSThis position requires working at a desk/computer for extended periods of time. It requires the use of office equipment, fine motor skills including typing on the computer, dialing phones, filing paper, and working in close proximity to other people.
