Position Summary & Key Areas of ResponsibilityDefine the business requirements that drive the architectural and technological constructs within the NCR Commerce Platform including:

API Management (e.g. Apigee) and API based integrations

Core capabilities such as authentication, alerting, eventing, logging, etc.

Software Development Kits (SDKs)

Identify and articulate the global market requirements that define the platform’s feature set in line with strategy, including writing requirements. Manage and deliver platform roadmaps including the coordination of cross-product and cross-functional dependencies. Collaborate with Engineering & Design to balance vision with practicality. Apply modern architectural trends to NCR Retail product roadmaps for competitive differentiation, improved customer ROI, and simplified user experience. Translate technical architecture to business value & impact to customers’ ROI. Communicate technical product strategy concisely and simply, in both written & verbal forms, to engineering, product management, sales, marketing, and executives. Build and maintain a prioritized product backlog fed by:

Product strategy

Customer feedback & interviews

User research (in partnership with User Experience Design)

Competitive analysis

Recruit customers to act as “advisor users” to co-create innovative products. Educate the sales team on messaging that works.

Qualifications:

Background in software business

Proven experience in a global product management role

A great attitude; people like working with you

You tend to find solutions, not problems

Excellent organization, communication, time management, facilitation, and follow-through skills

Own outcomes & drive to completion without being reminded

Working understanding of Agile methodologies & tools

Bachelor’s degree

Curiosity & thirst for learning, and ability to do it quickly

Strong interpersonal skills & ability to build strong, trusting relationships

Ability to simplify the complex

Ability to lead by influence across teams & silos

Problem-solving aptitude & creative thinking skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in cloud technologies like GCP and Azure

Previous experience in Retail

MBA

BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
