Our long-standing client, a market leader in the medical device sector, requires a senior procurement manager to join their team. The procurement team is 15 strong and this role reports directly to the head of procurement.Benefits:
Bonus, Pension, Flexible working hours, gym, canteen, healthcare and more.Duties:You will be responsible for maintaining and developing the supplier base to support the growing demand in Irish and US manufacturing sites.Act as focal point between sourcing, manufacturing operations, quality & engineering and lead cross-functional projects.Perform end-to-end supplier management to ensure delivery, quality, and cost targets are achieved.Drive assignments to full implementation in collaboration with cross-functional partners (e.g. Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality).Interact with commodity management and align on demand pooling, price negotiations, global commodity strategy.Capacity, process, and capability assessment and able to define improvement potentials.Regular travel to the USA for group meetings.The Person:BS/BA in related discipline QQI level 8. Degree in an Engineering discipline will be strongly preferred.Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.Minimum of 8 years professional experience in a related field, preferably in an FDA controlled environment. At least 2 years in a management position.Expertise in commodities sourced for electro-mechanical devices a plus.Willing to travel regularly.
