We are partnering with a midsized, privately held client to find a Sr. Manager of Global Procurement to lead the global sourcing strategies, focusing on building and managing supplier relationships across Asia, Europe, and Mexico. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience sourcing a variety of commodities, including plastics, mechanical and electroniccomponents and metals, witha strong track record of identifying, negotiating, and securing cost-effective and high-quality suppliers. This role is crucial in drivingprocurement strategies and ensuring a competitive edge in the global marketplace.

Responsibilities:

Lead global procurement efforts, managing supplier relationships across key regions, including Asia, Europe, and Mexico.

Identify and onboard new suppliers, ensuring alignment with the company’s quality standards, cost objectives, and production timelines.

Source a diverse range of commodities, including plastics, mechanical components, metals, and electronics, to meet the needs of manufacturing operations.

Develop and implement strategic sourcing initiatives to optimize cost, quality, and supplier performance.

Build and maintain strong, long-term partnerships with suppliers, focusing on mutual growth and innovation.

Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to ensure competitive advantages in cost, quality, and delivery.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain, to ensure seamless integration of new suppliers and materials.

Monitor and mitigate supply chain risks by developing contingency plans and ensuring supplier compliance with regulatory and sustainability standards.

Analyze global market trends, supplier performance, and commodity pricing to make data-driven procurement decisions.

Travel frequently to Asia, Europe, and Mexico to establish and nurture supplier relationships, ensuring optimal quality and cost control.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.

7+ years of experience in global procurement, with specific experience sourcing in Asia, Europe, and Mexico.

Proven experience managing a wide variety of commodities, including plastics, mechanical components, metals, and electronics.

Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management skills.

Demonstrated ability to build and maintain supplier networks in multiple regions, with a focus on cost savings and quality improvement.

Ability to travel internationally for extended periods to develop and manage supplier relationships.

Strong analytical skills, with experience using data to drive procurement decisions and optimize supply chain performance.
