Join our world-class team today!Position Specific DescriptionPosition is responsible for short-term natural gas procurement and optimizationWorks closely with various teams within EMT including Scheduling, Origination, Power Trading and AnalyticsEnsure alignment and compliance with all relevant management systems and Risk guidelinesDevelop and maintain relationships with gas producers, marketers, and operationsResponsible for after-hours and weekend on call responsibilities as part of a rotationRequired participation/presence for all critical events, including potential relocation to back-up site during extreme weather eventsJob Overview
This job is responsible for transacting short-term energy or gas purchases/sales. Employees in this role develop, communicate, and execute trading strategies with guidance.Job Duties & Responsibilities
Monitors market conditions and analyzes transactions to help in identifying and executing energy tradesEnsures transaction terms are beneficial to the organization and meet risk guidelinesOptimizes economics to assure minimum energy supply costs and maximizes profits for generation portfolioDetermines generation requirements and coordinates fuel procurement to meet obligationsCoaches junior tradersPerforms other job-related duties as assignedRequired Qualifications
