Job Summary

Job Description

This job is responsible for managing Medline's global Energy Management Program, including category management, consumption management, and carbon accounting. The role will also manage other categories that can be focused on Sustainability, such as Facility Services (Janitorial, Café, Landscaping, Security), Pest Control, Sterilization, Waste, and Recycling.Strategy, Sourcing, and Category Management for all Energy Management Activities, Facility Site Services, Pest Control, Sterilization, Waste, and Recycling categories globally.Single point of contact for VP-ESG regarding Energy Management projects, savings, and major initiatives.Work closely with Division Presidents in Manufacturing and Operations to leverage spend and best practices and drive Hard Dollar Savings and Demand, Consumption, and Compliance management for all above categories globally.Build core relationships with Senior Management and Divisional stakeholders to facilitate analysis, understand strategies, and benchmark spend.Lead the process of recommending new initiatives and holding ongoing kaizen workshops around the world to build and expand demand pipeline.Build Supplier Relationship Management and Risk Management strategies within the Operations Indirect categories of spend.Communication, Change Management, and Implementation of all respective indirect initiatives.Monitor category and/or supplier spending, both in aggregate and via patterns/cycles, and continuously evaluate options to reduce total cost of ownership or increase sustainability of results.Stimulate and support supplier innovation; develop market intelligence and benchmarking; act as subject matter expert in commodities and supplier market dynamics; proactively identify new markets and supplier sources within the Americas, Europe, and Asia.Responsible for leveraging Medline Manufacturing and Operations capital purchases, where appropriate.

RequirementsBachelor's degree required in Business, Finance, Engineering.Minimum of 5-10 years of wide-ranging roles of increasing responsibilities including experience creating and developing efficient organizations and working in a global, multi-site manufacturing corporation.Minimum 5 years of sourcing experience - preferably on the Energy, Operations Indirect / Facilities related sides Knowledge/Skills/Abilities.Demonstrated financial acumen with experience in project valuation and business modeling.Ability to execute under changing conditions and tight timelines.Experience operating successfully in a highly matrixed environment with a track record of achieving excellent results.An enthusiastic leader, change agent, possessing a professional, positive, and energetic attitude.Strong Project Management experience and skills.Very strong oral, written, and presentation communication skills in diverse settings: one-on-one as well as small and large groups.Very strong executive presence, able to manage and influence up the organization including the C-Suite.Solid understanding of energy management, environmental, safety, energy, and facility site services and waste/recycling.

Preferred RequirementsExperience working with both Pricing and Consumption side of Energy savings, especially in the areas of electricity, natural gas, liquid natural gas, and wood and co-generation projects.Master's Degree required or experience equivalent.
