The Project Manager II will collaborate across functional areas to ensure the successful execution of business initiatives. We are looking for a responsible, articulate, and motivated Project Manager II who is viewed as a practitioner in project management with demonstrated success in delivering significant business value. This position will ensure assigned projects are implemented with rigor, integrity, and transparency; driving project work streams and managing critical processes that are aligned with the company's commercial goals and objectives.

Job summary

The Project Manager II will collaborate across functional areas to ensure the successful execution of business initiatives. The Project Manager II will be responsible for managing multiple concurrent projects, utilizing standardized Prolacta PMO project management tools and processes, and documenting progress at regular intervals. We are looking for a responsible, articulate, and motivated person who is viewed as a reliable and consistent practitioner in project management with demonstrated success in delivering significant business value.

This position will ensure assigned projects are implemented with structure and transparency; driving project workstreams and managing critical processes that are aligned with the company's commercial goals and objectives. This position reports to the Project Management Office Senior Manager and is based in Duarte, CA.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Apply critical thinking and best practice principles of project management to successfully manage complex initiatives that profoundly impact operations and influence strategic goal achievement.Ensure assigned projects are implemented with structure and transparency; and continuously drive teams towards benefits realization.Successfully manage concurrent projects that are at various stages in the project life cycle with an eye on stakeholder satisfaction, anticipating the needs of the project sponsors and delivering on those needs proactively and with a high degree of quality.Apply full lifecycle project management processes and tools using Prolacta PMO's standardized tools from project initiation and planning, through execution and closure.Make presentations to management on project updates, project cycle, and expected results.Manage/Control Project Timelines and Resources: can forecast variances and trends throughout the project lifecycle to ensure project resources are met and be able to ensure a seamless transition from project implementation to business.Manage project quality: ensure that all project deliverables are in compliance with all applicable standards and regulations and able to conduct analysis on project outcomes to make appropriate recommendations to improve project.Proactively communicate issues and concerns, providing transparency with executive management, project stakeholders, and key customers.Manage project issues and risks to acceptable resolution, in a timely manner.Additional duties as assigned.

Job Requirements and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business, or similar discipline, required.Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, preferred.5+ years' experience in driving high priority cross-functional enterprise projects or component phases of larger programs, required.Must be comfortable operating in an environment where scope, deliverables, responsibilities, and expectations are not always clearly defined at the assignment of a project manager; requiring the project manager to work diligently with project owners and sponsors.Strong ability to translate strategy into action and influence results without authority.Adaptive interpersonal and leadership skills to effectively communicate and build relationships with a broad spectrum of audiences at all organizational levels.Able to work in an environment of rapid pace and ambiguity; ability to work under pressure, create and manage deadlines and be flexible while working on multiple projects simultaneously.Must follow appropriate project management methodologies and processes, including managing and driving project schedule, risk and issue management, and scope change management.Experience with business process analysis, documentation, and ability to implement process improvements.Willingness to coach, demonstrate, and teach basic project management and process improvement techniques to others.

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Lean Six Sigma certification or experience, preferred.Basic to strong understanding of other functions such as: Quality and Regulatory Affairs, Validation, Clinical Research and Development, Manufacturing, and Marketing.Proficiency with project management practices, tools, software, and methodology.Strong application skills (MS Project, MS Office, SharePoint, Visio, etc.) and understanding of systems for sharing and collaboration.

Pay - $90,000 - 100,000
