We are seeking a Quality Control Manager for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Billerica, MA.

The Quality Control (QC) Manager will oversee the quality control operations within an ISO 9001-certified Quality Management System, ensuring that products, facilities, and processes align with both company and customer requirements. This role requires the coordination of laboratory activities, collaboration with various departments, and ensuring continuous improvement in product quality.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the Quality Control laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 standards.

Publish regular reports on product and process quality through data collection, analysis, and trend summaries.

Foster positive relationships with suppliers to drive continuous improvement efforts.

Supervise a team of Laboratory Technicians across multiple facilities.

Oversee the organization of daily lab routines and workflows, ensuring optimal operations.

Provide guidance and training to QC team members, focusing on skills development and compliance.

Ensure laboratory equipment is maintained and calibrated; troubleshoot, repair, and coordinate vendor services as needed.

Manage key laboratory consumables and ensure the efficient operation of the labs, adhering to federal, local, and company safety standards.

Maintain documentation and certification related to MIL-STD-883 adhesive standards.

Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Demonstrated experience collaborating on cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a science-related discipline.

5–10 years of experience as a QC Supervisor or Manager, preferably in chemical or adhesives manufacturing.

Experience working within an ISO 9001 quality system and familiarity with safety and legal standards for lab operations.

Proficiency in reporting quality metrics and Statistical Process Control (SPC).

Familiarity with laboratory measuring and testing equipment.

Experience with Microsoft Office; ERP, project management, SPC, and analytics software is preferred.

Physical Requirements

Ability to work at a desk for extended periods.

Occasionally required to lift items weighing up to 15 pounds.
