The Beckman Laser Institute at the University of California, Irvine seeks applicants with an interest in translational optical imaging. Responsibilities include image collection analysis and computer-based instrumentation. Experience in biophotonics and LabView and MATLAB programming desirable.Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree preferably in Physics, Chemistry, or Optical Engineering. Candidates must have the ability to work in an interdisciplinary setting.Junior Specialist:

Appointees to the Junior rank should possess a baccalaureate degree (or equivalent degree) or equivalent research experience.Assistant Specialists:

Appointees should possess expertise consistent with four (4) to six (6) years of training and/or experience in the relevant specialization. Appropriate qualifications for appointees at this rank would include possession of a Master's degree in a relevant discipline or possession of a relevant baccalaureate degree plus three (3) or more years of research experience.Associate Specialists:

Appointees to the Associate rank should possess a master's degree (or equivalent degree) or five to ten years of experience demonstrating expertise in the relevant specialization.Specialists:

Appointees to the Full rank should possess a terminal degree (or equivalent degree) or ten or more years of experience demonstrating expertise in the relevant specialization.Requirements: Candidates must have the ability to work in an interdisciplinary setting.
