Position Description

Position: Specialist Series Open Ranks

The Department of Radiology at the University of California, Irvine anticipates openings for Junior, Assistant, Associate, and full Specialists.

We are currently accepting applications from candidates with a robust training background in imaging instrumentation or image algorithm development. Individuals with expertise in ultrasound and photoacoustic imaging are strongly encouraged to apply. This is an ongoing recruitment. Positions are dependent on extramural funding. Rank will be determined based on qualifications and experience. Initial appointments are for one year and renewal will be dependent on availability of support. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

Junior Specialist: Baccalaureate degree (or equivalent degree) or equivalent research experience.Assistant Specialist: Master's degree or relevant Bachelor's degree plus 3 or more years of research experience.Associate Specialist: Master's degree or 5 to 10 years of experience demonstrating expertise in the relevant specialization.Specialist: MD or PhD or 10 or more years of experience demonstrating expertise in the relevant specialization.
