The Department of Medicine at the University of California, Irvine anticipates openings in the Specialist Series in various divisions:ImmunologyInfectious DiseasesCardiologyNephrology and HypertensionEndocrinology, Diabetes and MetabolismGastroenterologyPulmonary and Critical Care MedicineGeneral Internal Medicine and Primary CareRheumatologyHematology/OncologyOccupational and Environmental MedicineThe following are required:CVStatement of ResearchInclusive Excellence Activities StatementSexual Misconduct, Harassment and Discrimination Declaration FormQualifications:BS degree or equivalent research experience required for Jr. Specialist rank. Assistant rank - MS in a relevant discipline or possession of a relevant baccalaureate degree plus three (3) or more years of research experience. Expertise consistent with four (4) to six (6) years of training and/or experience in the relevant specialization. Associate rank - MS or 5-10 years experience. Specialist rank - Terminal degree (PhD/MD) or 10+ years experience in a relevant specialization.Positions are dependent upon extramural funding. Rank will be determined based on qualifications and experience. Initial appointments are for one year and renewal is based on availability of support.
