The Department of Medicine at the University of California, Irvine anticipates openings in the Specialist Series in various divisions:ImmunologyInfectious DiseasesCardiologyNephrology and HypertensionEndocrinology, Diabetes and MetabolismGastroenterologyPulmonary and Critical Care MedicineGeneral Internal Medicine and Primary CareRheumatologyHematology/OncologyOccupational and Environmental MedicineThe following are required:CVStatement of ResearchInclusive Excellence Activities StatementSexual Misconduct, Harassment and Discrimination Declaration FormQualifications:BS degree or equivalent research experience required for Jr. Specialist rank. Assistant rank - MS in a relevant discipline or possession of a relevant baccalaureate degree plus three (3) or more years of research experience. Expertise consistent with four (4) to six (6) years of training and/or experience in the relevant specialization. Associate rank - MS or 5-10 years experience. Specialist rank - Terminal degree (PhD/MD) or 10+ years experience in a relevant specialization.Positions are dependent upon extramural funding. Rank will be determined based on qualifications and experience. Initial appointments are for one year and renewal is based on availability of support. Applications will be considered until positions are filled.Basic Qualifications
BS degree or equivalent research experience required for Jr. Specialist rank. Assistant rank - MS in a relevant discipline or possession of a relevant baccalaureate degree plus three (3) or more years of research experience.
