Nitsch Engineering is looking for a Highway/Transportation Engineer to join our team in one of our three Massachusetts offices in Boston, Lawrence, or Worcester!Responsibilities
Perform roadway and highway design and drainage/utility designPrepare complex construction phasing and traffic management plansPrepare construction documents, including plans, specifications, and estimates for intersections, roadways, and multi-modal facilitiesUse standard engineering formulas to create calculations for roadway design, utility and drainage designAssist the Project Manager/Technical Manager/Senior Project Engineer with coordinating technical design tasksRequirements
Bachelor of Science in Civil EngineeringMassachusetts Professional Engineer License, or the ability to obtain one within one year if currently licensed in another stateMinimum of 4 years of experience in the preparation of transportation design documentsAdvanced understanding of AutoCAD Civil 3D and specialized design programsAdvanced knowledge of highway/transportation engineering design and construction standardsUnderstanding of local, state, and federal regulations and codes applicable to highway and traffic design and ability to research non-routine issuesExperience assisting with construction administration, preferredAbout Us
