Arts Lead
to join our team!The YMCA focuses on empowering people in all forms, by improving health and well-being and inspiring action in and across our neighborhoods. This position supports the work of the Y, a leading non-profit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.As an Arts Lead, you will assist in planning and implementing a variety of arts programming. If hired, you will create and maintain class schedules and rosters, provide parents with updates on their children's progress, and lead participants while providing instruction.Prepare lesson plans for assigned participants and areas of responsibility.Provide curriculum development for arts programming.Champion diversity and inclusion in all aspects of department, center, and community work.Lead participants in the program. Demonstrate activities and provide directions.Create a safe, positive, and fun environment, and ensure adherence to YMCA policies.Keep parents informed of performance and changes pertaining to their child's classes.Assist and support leading the arts programs under the direction of the program director.Provide support for performing arts productions, visual arts exhibitions, and events.Qualifications:Commitment to valuing and promoting diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.
