Perks for you include:Health Insurance (Medical, Vision, & Dental)Discounts on Klein Tools productsEducation and Professional Development AssistanceThe Plant Manager is responsible for managing the plant by coordinating and planning the manufacturing of product to ensure customer orders and company products are processed and shipped in accordance with planned schedules, job specifications, established quality standards, and planned profit objectives. This position is also responsible for implementing change to continuously improve performance and increase workflow efficiencies.Monitor plant activities to ensure an effective use of available resources to meet production schedules for customer orders and inventory requirements.Review production reports and resolve any issues to ensure quality standards. Create and implement strategies to improve performance and production based on the production report.Optimize operational performance, including safety, quality, manufacturing, cost, and morale. Analyze and review manufacturing operation procedures to develop and implement improvement strategies.Implement company wide policies, goals, objectives, and procedures in conjunction with company management.Coordinate with Manufacturing Managers to develop plant fiscal budgets. Determine labor standards and staffing levels on an ongoing basis.Review regular financial reports and follow ups as necessary to control costs and approve all purchases of supplies and equipment.Collaborate with Product Development and Engineering to determine whether operations allow for a new product or product applications.Make employment decisions on hiring, promotion, transfers, training and development, disciplinary action, terminations, and pay adjustments; monitor performance by completing new hire and annual performance evaluations.Consult with Human Resources as necessary.Ensure that proper safety methods are used in the department as specified by Loss Prevention.Ensure team maintains an orderly and clean department.Perform other duties as required within the nature and level of work.Education Requirements:Bachelors Degree (4 Year)Years of Experience:7 to 10 years of experience requiredBachelor's Degree in Operations, Business, Engineering, or related field and seven (7) years of relevant work experience are required.At least five (5) years working in a manufacturing environment and five (5) years of supervisory experience required.Master's in Business Administration is preferred.Strong leadership skills combined with the ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with people, projects and issues.Ability to listen and communicate effectively. Ability to lead people.Ability to actively engage by means of discovery, process, and/or application of new information.Demonstrate key competencies, including conflict management, business negotiation, organization and decision making.Klein Tools is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
