Senior Manager, IT Sourcing

Job Description:This strategic role reports to the newly elevated Senior Director of Procurement and is responsible for driving IT procurement value creation across Baker Tilly. This individual will contribute meaningfully to Baker Tilly’s broader strategic procurement maturation journey; with H&F’s recent investment, significant growth and effectiveness initiatives are being deployed.
Objectives:
Collaborate with IT business stakeholders to develop and execute IT category strategies across $120M+ in IT spend (and growing as Baker Tilly grows)
Deliver upon IT sourcing pipeline and value targets
Bring IT procurement expertise and market intelligence to enhance outcomes and secure position as trusted and critical strategic partner to business stakeholders
Create sustainable savings and risk safeguards
Develop “category strategies” to manage spend and drive ongoing value from vendors across all IT towers including IT Services & Labor, IT Infrastructure (Hardware, Telecom), Cloud, and IT Software
Drive category strategy execution and sourcing e.g. RFPs/bids, negotiations strategies, demand optimization and rightsizing, policy redesign
Negotiate contracts commercially and legally, with a balanced risk approach
Engage with IT business stakeholders to drive spend influence and innovation
Partner closely with IT stakeholders and quarterback IT vendor selection efforts
Work closely with business stakeholders to understand IT roadmap, pipeline and IT projects with downstream impact to procurement
Leverage analytics and IT market intelligence to earn trust and provide value add to business partners
Assist with policy and guideline development (e.g. software purchasing policies and proof of concepts)
Manage procurement pipeline and strategic IT sourcing calendar for all IT expenditures
Build and maintain robust calendar capturing renewals and planned sourcing projects for existing and net new IT expenditures
Work with FP&A and business to ensure tracking of realized savings from all sourcing projects and negotiations activities
Support strategic vendor management
Partner with business stakeholders to provide oversight across strategic IT suppliers
Challenge partners appropriately through negotiations and ongoing vendor management to help ensure Baker Tilly optimizes value delivered by vendors
Oversee monitoring of vendor risk and vendor performance against contractual obligations and KPIs to ensure overall effectiveness of vendor-provided services
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree required
5+ years of relevant procurement experience required.
Demonstrated IT acumen and knowledge of all IT cost towers (IT Services & Labor, IT Infrastructure/Hardware, Telecom, Cloud, and IT Software)
Strong attention to detail and effective prioritization
Ability to operate both strategically, tactically and operationally in a fast-paced environment; builds scalable systems & processes, rather than just addressing single issues
Proven negotiation and influencing skills, with an emphasis on client services skills/orientation
Highly capable in project management and analytics
Strong interpersonal skills and desire to grow and develop team members
Experienced in decision-making and working with financials
Strong leadership and communication skills
Demonstrated excellence in performance and ability to meet or exceed value targets
The compensation range for this role is $133,340 to $288,900. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
