BR+A provides state-of-the-art integrated and coordinated mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection consulting engineering, technology systems design, lighting design, and building commissioning services.BR+A is seeking a proactive and outgoing self-starter with a knack for storytelling, making connections, and an eye for visual communications to join the BR+A team as a Business Development Coordinator. This position is for our Boston headquarters.This creative thinker will work collaboratively with others to develop and execute compelling written and visual stories that promote our expertise, conduct market research, and become a firmwide knowledge center of our BR+A’s strengths, projects, pursuits, and differentiators. This candidate will be vital in developing materials that will help the firm win new work. This role will assist in targeted market research, affiliated administrative work, content creation, social media ownership, conference tracking, and some technical editing. This role reports to our Director of Business Development and will help plan and execute initiatives to increase brand awareness and promote BR+A’s people, projects, and capabilities across the footprint of our twelve national offices.Responsibilities:Market research; Utilize Bid Prime, Google Alerts and other resources to manage leads and make data-driven decisions. Track and share information thoughtfully and regularly.Data entry in Deltek database.Authoring or editing technical content (Call for papers, award submission text); Work with leadership to ensure successful participation in these activities.Affiliated administrative responsibilities (Excel, monthly expense reporting, data entry, travel coordination and planning, booking flights and hotels, register Director of BD and other team members for various industry events).Assist Business Development Director with research, planning, and strategy to best position the firm for new work; share weekly meeting minutes from BD meetings with leadership. Track and send out potential projects to leadership across multiple offices.Assist in the creation and editing of PowerPoint pitch decks; and use InDesign for quals packages.Social media support - content planning; Quality Control: Ensure all deliverables/social media posts meet high standard of quality and professionalism.Works with Business Development and Marketing team on special projects.Manage social media calendars, including researching award deadlines, national conferences, and speaking opportunities deadlines.Analyze and manipulate social media analytics, SEOs, online advertisements, and website data to focus and drive content.Industry Obligations: Attend industry events, conferences, and networking functions. Represent BR+A professionally and foster relationships.Event Planning: Organize receptions, clients meetings, and other events. Coordinate invitations, logistics, and follow-ups; support conference planning by coordinating with principles of additional guests to invite, assisted in finding contact information and tracking sends.Skills and Attributes:Strong verbal, written, and visual communicator with a positive attitude. Forward thinker who remains current in marketing news and trends.Ability to manage and lead multiple assignments, juggling busy schedules and tight deadlines with ease.Calm and effective under deadline pressure.Ability to work independently, as well as be an effective team player with a flexible, collaborative attitude.Exceptional attention to detail and demonstrated commitment to quality.Willingness to travel, on occasion, to support specific BD initiatives.Curious problem solver who loves to learn.Qualifications:BS/BA in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, Design, or Business is preferred.The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a business development/marketing/communications positions within the A/E/C industry.Highly proficient in InDesign; Illustrator, Photoshop, and PowerPoint are a plus, familiarity with Deltek is a plus.Understanding of concepts, practices and procedures in the A/E/C field.Full understanding of a variety of technology platforms, including LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Canva, software automation, and web design/development a plus.Experience analyzing and interpreting data, including Search Engine Optimization (SEO).Experience with leadership/C-Suite exposure.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and InDesign (or other desktop publishing software).Graphic design literacy.At BR+A, we're invested in what we do, committed to technical excellence, and driven to work collaboratively to best serve our clients.
