$131,040.00 – $159,276.00 AnnuallyDescription:SACOG is seeking an experienced funding and grants expert, personal connector, and outstanding program manager to lead the agency’s grants and funding activities. There are three primary areas of SACOG’s funding and grants work. First, SACOG runs competitive grant programs within the six-county region where cities, counties, transit agencies, Caltrans, and others compete for state and federal funding. Second, SACOG has begun a new funding program, Engage, Empower, Implement, which is an equitable and justice-based planning process focusing on community needs and creating projects that meet them. The Engage, Empower, Implement program prioritizes projects that address long-standing inequities and serve marginalized communities. Finally, SACOG works to set regional priorities for competitive state and federal transportation grants and collaborates with other transportation partners in the region to support bringing competitive grants to the region.Qualifications:Required: Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. We welcome applicants with non-traditional pathways to education and experience. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be:Education equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in Transportation/Urban Planning, Economics, Public or Business Administration, Political Science, or a related field.Three to five (3-5) years of full-time progressively responsible transportation planning, transportation funding, and/or transportation grants program experience, or similar work, including at least one (1) year of project lead and/or supervisory experience.Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid California Driver’s License by time of appointment.Desired:Master’s degree in a related field.Five years of progressively responsible experience, and 2 years of project lead and/or supervisory experience.
