Thursday, September 5, 2024DRC is one of the largest educational assessment and curriculum/instruction companies in the industry.Job Responsibilities:Prepare test materials such as manuals, reports, brochures, and other documents for online, offset printing, and digital publication using Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Acrobat Professional.Use InDesign to create long, complex documents from inception to completion, requiring advanced skills in:setup and usage of parent pages,layout, graphic fundamentals, and typography,creation and application of styles (paragraph, character, and object),table setup,table of contents, index, and cross reference setup, andformat and placement of images.Remediate PDFs for 508 compliance to ensure they:are properly tagged,have a logical reading and tab order,include bookmarks for long documents,include appropriate alternative text for all images and objects, andread correctly using assistive technology.Consult with resource groups on project conceptualization and design; perform related work.Obtain information from project managers regarding the client’s product and service needs.Assume responsibility for organization of work to complete a project.Apply critical decision-making skills, including:making accurate decisions based on available information,prioritizing work, andunderstanding the client’s needs and requirements.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or a related fieldFive years of related work experienceThree years of experience with Section 508 compliance (PDF remediation)Four years of experience using InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat ProfessionalProficient with Microsoft productsExperience with font management system(s) preferredExperience with CommonLook preferredAbility to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentAbility to clearly communicate with team members and project management staff in verbal and written formReport to work promptly when scheduledWork under supervision and accept feedbackUse Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Office Suite, and other necessary graphics programs proficientlyRelate effectively and work respectfully with diverse work groupsPerform consistently well during times of increased workloadManage multiple job functions simultaneouslyPerform other duties as neededData Recognition Corporation is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer.
