DescriptionThe Business Analyst reports to the Manager of Program Management and is responsible for reviewing and analyzing vendor invoices, making necessary adjustments within ConnectWise, and ensuring accurate reflection of these adjustments in client billing. This role also involves reconciling usage-based Managed Services Provider (MSP) products to maintain accurate client charges. The position plays a key part in ensuring financial accuracy, supporting cost management, and enhancing operational efficiency by resolving discrepancies, maintaining data integrity, and streamlining billing processes. This helps ensure clients are billed correctly, protecting the company’s revenue and fostering positive client relationships.Additionally, this position will assist with preparing operational reporting associated with ConnectWise entries time entries as well as with Non-Recurring Revenue (NRR) and Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR) reporting. The ideal candidate will have experience and familiarity with Managed Services tools, specifically ConnectWise.ResponsibilitiesReview and analyze vendor invoices for accuracy and compliance with agreements.Enter and reconcile adjustments in ConnectWise based on vendor invoices.Ensure that adjustments are accurately reflected in ConnectWise.Analyze and true-up usage data for Managed Services Provider (MSP) products to ensure correct billing.Investigate and resolve discrepancies in vendor invoices and MSP product usage.Maintain accurate records of vendor invoices, product usage, and adjustments in ConnectWise.Collaborate with operations, accounting, service delivery, and procurement teams to ensure smooth billing operations.Generate financial and operational reports related to vendor billing, MSP product true-ups, and ConnectWise adjustments.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, And BehaviorsProficiencies in Excel (Very important)Superior written communication and technical writing skills.Ability to breakdown complex processes into simpler terms.Strong interpersonal skills and business acumen.Ability to manage projects and infrastructure, keeping all focused on departmental goals and objectives.Ability to lead and influence others through collaborative efforts.Excellent analytical skills and the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.Excellent organizational skills including the ability to work effectively in a dynamic and changing environment.Understand departmental budgets.Education/ ExperienceExperience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial analysis, vendor management, or a related field, preferably within the Managed Services or IT industry.Technical Skills: Proficiency in ConnectWise or similar PSA tools is required. Experience with accounting software and Excel for data analysis is preferred.Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in vendor billing and product usage.Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with vendors, clients, and internal teams effectively.Organizational Skills: Strong time management and multitasking abilities to handle multiple invoices, adjustments, and tasks simultaneously.Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field is preferred.Physical DemandsSedentary Work – Exerts up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
