OBJECTIVE:

The Butter Plant Manager oversees all operations related to the processing of product in the butter plant. Directs a plant or production facility’s overall operations. Sets and implements policies and procedures that guide plant operations’ safety, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency. Collaborates the development and implements plant safety and security inspections, auditing and training procedures to meet Company guidelines, FDA, USDA, OSHA and other required regulations Collaborates with multi-functional plant teams, including finance, engineering, materials, quality assurance, and human resources. Ensures all department personnel follow Company procedures and safety policies, ensuring that customers receive a quality product within the specifications they request.

The Butter Plant Manager will supervise the Assistant Butter Plant Manager, Butter Plant personnel and Inventory-Shipping Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversight of all plant personnel, safety, food safety & quality, and production.

Assist in setting plant wide budgets for cost control.

Oversight of efficient plant operations.

Provide departments with Production rates for efficiency.

Determine and allocate plant staffing needs.

Develop and ensure effective leadership training for plant supervision and leads.

Monitor reports as they pertain to the accounting, production, safety, food safety and quality, and maintenance of the facility.

Resolution and mitigation of plant related issues as they arise; track corrective actions to completion.

Enforce all Grassland Safety Policies, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s), Work Instructions, and Operating Procedures.

Provide and maintain a high level of morale and motivation throughout the Plant.
