We provide the full spectrum of technology consulting services to help state and local agencies meet operational and program needs that enhance the lives of their user base.Services:Strategy, Architecture, Planning, and ProcurementBusiness EnablementBusiness SolutionsProject AssurancePCG is hiring a Director to manage a team and several public sector projects and to continue building the team and portfolio of projects in our Technology Consulting Practice Area.The Director will collaborate with senior client executives to implement or advise on large-scale software solutions within Public Sector State Government environments. The role requires experience with HTML, Java, Python, and SQL technologies. Additionally, the candidate should be skilled in big data, coding, project management, technical writing, and cloud services. Familiarity with management methodologies like Agile and Waterfall is also necessary.The Director will recruit, hire, manage, and develop resources to support the business unit and the Practice Area. The Director will deliver projects under his/her direction, including ensuring projects are delivered within pre-determined specifics (revenue/expenses, etc.).This position will be responsible for the following:Business Development:

Client management and sales acumen to grow existing projects and establish new projects. Build new markets that create business and financial value. Lead proposal responses for RFPs.Resource Management:

Hiring, developing, motivating, and retaining staff to build and sustain a team skillset of talent that includes diverse capabilities and perspectives.Collaboration:

Skilled in building support for opportunities, proposals, projects, and organizational initiatives, and will play an active role as a contributor in growing the Practice Area.Risk Management:

Own strategic, financial, and operational risk in all aspects of their responsibilities.Project Delivery:

As necessary, lead or participate in project delivery activities, including analysis, deliverable creation, and communicating project performance and progress.Manage:

teams of individuals focused on all phases of the SDLC, including planning/procurement; architecture; software design, development, configuration, and implementation; and project assurance/oversight.Advise:

senior client executives and be a trusted advisor for technology-related concerns.Qualifications:Required:Must be based in California.At least 10 years of experience in management consulting, focused on technology.6+ years of experience developing, bidding, and winning public sector management consulting services.6+ years of experience providing a combination of planning, procurement, project management, quality assurance (QA), implementation, or project oversight services for State governments.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a cross-functional capacity with a minimum Fiscal Year’s book value of $2M.Experience working with systems in large-scale integrated/modular environments.Proven ability to hire, develop, and manage a team of people.Ability to interact with all levels of personnel, from technical to executive management.Strong leadership interpersonal skills.Exceptional communication skills.Must be a self-starter, enthusiastic, and have political savvy.Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University.Preferred:Working Conditions:This position is remote with travel/onsite requirements. PCG is a remote-friendly organization. To be successful in a remote work role at PCG, you must:Be available during your set working hours.Have a safe, private, and distraction-free environment in which to complete your work.Be able to give your full attention to the completion of your PCG job duties.Some travel to the office or elsewhere may be required for team meetings, client meetings, etc.We are accepting applications on an ongoing basis until filled.
