The Inventory Analyst is responsible for Materials Resource Planning (MRP), data consistency, analyzing data trends, and through statistical analysis developing strategies and processes to enhance purchasing and asset management activities. This would include the management of company inventory policies. The individual will also be responsible for establishing and meeting department metrics including working capital, forecasting accuracy, procurement requirements, and service levels. Work with the Purchasing and Inventory Asset Management team to drive supply chain cost.Essential Job FunctionsAnalyze and develop standard reports related to SAP data consistency.Support the Returns Process.Determine appropriate inventory levels.Support the supplier evaluation process through statistical analysis. Prepare and analyze reports to determine requirements for continuous improvement of inventory turns, suppliers' delivery performance, and customer service levels.Assist SC's and DC's with inventory management projects that fulfill customer service requirements while maximizing inventory returns.Assist Logistics Department in projects that will improve efficiencies within the supply chain.Analyze service center inventories and MRP settings for opportunities to optimize inventory returns.Provide Product Managers data to assist in vendor evaluation.Active involvement in the Company's Lean processes to drive continuous improvement of processes directed toward reducing costs, improving cycle time, increasing sales/gross profit, and customer satisfaction.Determine optimized sourcing for materials stocked at the SC's and DC's.Determine best forecasting models for existing products to balance service and inventory.Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree - Computer Science, Supply Chain, Engineering or EquivalentAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and AccessBasic statistics knowledgeSAP experience a plus, purchasing experience preferredLean or Six Sigma certification a plusLegally authorized to work in the US without sponsorshipDesired CharacteristicsStrong presentation skillsAbility to effectively influence and impact across workforce and at all levels in the organizationStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to understand clients' needs and help them resolve benefit related issuesAbility to use critical thinking.
