Able Services Field – Engineering, Maintenance TechnicianFull time / On-siteABM, a leading provider of integrated facility solutions, is looking for a Maintenance Technician.The General Maintenance Technician will complete assigned preventive maintenance and reactive maintenance repairs requiring conveyor, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, instrumentation, HVAC and other equipment, systems or structures. Ensures repairs and maintenance to all equipment and facilities. Responds to spills and other emergency situations, performing tasks necessary. Assists in emergencies as needed.The Company may require that the successful candidate hired for this position be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, if and to the extent permitted by applicable law. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data. You may be eligible to participate in a Company incentive or bonus program.This is a L99 union position. Union benefits include:Fully paid healthcare10 days accrued sick leave beginning immediately upon start of employment10 days paid vacation after 1 yearOn call required - compensation is 4 hours regular pay for the on call. Call backs to the building will be 4 hour minimum paid at 1.5 x hourly rateEssential Functions

Troubleshoots minor maintenance problems involving electrical, structural, plumbing, and equipment repair or replacement.Performs routine plumbing repairs such as unstopping toilets, sinks or urinals, fixing water leaks, leaking faucets, and water fountains.Performs routine electrical repairs such as changing light bulbs or fluorescent lamps and assists in repairing ballast and light fixtures.Must be safety conscious and work safely within a team-oriented environment.Perform other duties as assigned.2+ years of experience with Light residential plumbing2+ years of experience with Heat Pump HVAC systems (possess a Universal CFC or ability to attend class to obtain)2+ years of experience with Light residential electrical2+ years of experience basic appliance troubleshootingAbility to work on laddersAbility to move 30 pounds un-assisted occasionallyAbility to utilize a tablet for service tickets (Apple technology experience a plus)Exceptional customer service skills for residents and client.Basic computer skills.Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of duties that are required of the employee for this job.
