Overview:Under the supervision of the Director of Operations, the Operations Manager will manage the baseball introductory events and player development events. This role focuses on logistical planning and operational execution of the Baseball Factory calendar, working closely with the entire Factory Operations department. Success in this role is defined by several factors, including contract coach hiring & development and total event success from preparation to recap with budget discipline. There is an expectation of continuous innovation to our concepts and the way we develop and execute events. Travel is required and essential in this role.Responsibilities:Oversee, coordinate, staff and run Baseball Factory introductory events and player development events.Adhere to budgetary guidelines for all events.Oversee inventory of gear and equipment, including staff inventory nationwide.Oversee all scouting, evaluation, reporting and data transfer/uploads for Baseball Factory players.Work with team on event curriculum and itineraries for player development events.Set up Google sites for Baseball Factory events.Hire, train and develop new staff throughout the country to work Baseball Factory intro and player development events.Manage the execution of content capture on-site for social media posts, working with the Director of Marketing.Assist with the Tournament division when available/needed.Complete post-event flash reports for finance team.Work on new initiatives based on company needs.Qualifications:Required:Bachelor’s degree in sports-related or business-related field such as Sports Marketing, Management, or Instruction.1-2 years of experience working in sports business/operations or related field.Solid understanding of youth baseball and tournament operations.Strong written and oral communication skills.Strong interpersonal skills.Positive approach to learning.Strong work ethic.Good planning, directing, and organizational skills.Excellent customer service orientation to respond to needs of parents or coaches.Ability to work in a team environment.Ability and desire to supervise others.Ability to work long extended hours and weekends/holidays as needed.Preferred:Former collegiate or professional baseball and/or softball experience.Proven record of accomplishment in leadership in a professional environment.Sound knowledge of the game of baseball/softball and tournament operations.3+ years of experience in a supervisory position.Experience operating youth sporting events.Willingness to take on special projects and roles based on the needs of the company.Special Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:Routinely required to work extended hours as dictated by business needs.Physical ability to accomplish all tasks.Routinely lift or move up to 50 pounds at least 20% of the time.Routinely exposed to extreme hot/cold weather conditions, and dust/particles.Routinely travel to events.
