Overview:

As a successful Director of Sales – Baseball Factory, you will lead our sales efforts for our baseball and softball events. This position has a strong emphasis on relationship building. This is a remote position, with some required travel.

Responsibilities:

Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals for Baseball Factory/Softball Factory Player Development, Exclusive College Recruiting, and Tournament eventsAchieve monthly, quarterly, and annual new player attendance for baseball/softball one-day evaluation/tryoutsCreate weekly/monthly giveaway incentives to high school coaches that nominate players (fungo, bucket hat, tickets to games, etc.)Report monthly, quarterly, and annual performance with VP of Sales and ServiceImplement sales strategies to help each sales rep meet their individual goalsWork with VP of Marketing and Lead Player ID rep/ops to collect player names from industry databasesEvaluate each sales rep annual performanceRecruit and interview to maintain constant pipeline of quality candidatesCollect feedback from players, parents, coaches on BF/SF events and share with operationsCreate periodic sales contests to keep sales reps motivated

Training And Day To Day Operations/Functions

Player Development Coordinator (PDC) Production:

PDC training1 day event preparation, on field talk, and role of the PDC at that event (interacting with parents etc.)Evaluation/Tryout callsEvent benefits and Program benefitsFollow up process24hr rule of getting back to families whether it is for a registration, logistics question on travel, or customer service issuesIntro trainingRe-establish high school contacts for nominationsOpening up new databases and current lead sources (Ripken, PG, PBR, NCSA)Importance of intro eventsVideo, metrics, understanding of strengths and weaknessesOpportunity to make a BF/SF Ripken event and how that helpsFill intro events with new playersWork closely with marketing for email campaigns and generation of lead sources etc.Tournament trainingContact all national and regional travel/club programsContact college coaches, scouts to attend events

Qualifications:

Required:

Bachelor’s Degree5+ years of working with youth, parents, and coaches.Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.Strong verbal and written communication skills – ability to communicate with staff and prepare written reports.

Preferred:

Ability to provide exceptional customer service skills; ability to adhere to Company’s Service Standards.Strong time management and organizational skillsAbility to direct work tasks and plan ahead.Ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment.Willingness to work long hours and weekends as the business requires.Some travel required
