This certification demonstrates our commitment to transforming the global economy to benefit all people, communities, and the planet.At our plant in Cabot, VT milk from Vermont and a few New Hampshire farms is expertly crafted into Specialty VT Cheddars, Flavored and Light Cheeses and Cultured products as well as Greek-Style Yogurt, Cottage Cheese and Sour Cream.Purpose:Provide strategic leadership and direction to the cut and wrap maintenance department, overseeing the repair, maintenance, and installation of machinery and equipment. Lead efforts to reduce equipment failures, optimize operational life, and ensure seamless production. Collaborate across departments to drive improvements in safety, product quality, efficiency, equipment downtime, and implement cost savings initiatives. Play a key role in developing leadership within the maintenance department and fostering individual professional growth while promoting a team environment.Responsibilities:

Lead and mentor the maintenance team, ensuring effective shift coverage, conducting annual evaluations, and cultivating leadership and growth within the department.Partner with production and lab teams to meet quality and efficiency goals, focusing on leadership in continuous improvement initiatives.Champion safety compliance and the implementation of preventive maintenance programs.Provide leadership in managing plant projects, overseeing equipment installations, and capital requests.Drive continuous improvement initiatives, with a focus on leadership in reducing production downtime and enhancing efficiency.Facilitate the development and expansion of the autonomous maintenance program, empowering team members to take ownership of machine upkeep and performance.Lead efforts to increase machine uptime and support production efficiency improvements.Oversee environmental compliance and collaborate on power plant operations.Guide staff training and ensure regulatory compliance in all safety programs.Maintain equipment records, track maintenance costs, and manage the parts inventory efficiently.Lead and participate in key management processes, develop capital projects, and provide solutions to recurring operational challenges.Coordinate necessary repairs for facilities and inventory of tools to support effective plant operations.Qualifications:Degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or equivalent experience.5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.3+ years of proven leadership experience in management, with a focus on developing and mentoring teams.Preferred experience with TPM, Lean practices, preventive maintenance, and related software.Strong mechanical, electrical, and financial skills.Other Requirements:Demonstrated leadership in adhering to safety rules, GMPs, and company policies.Commitment to ethical and environmental leadership.Working Conditions:Moderate physical effort and exposure to extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, and loud noise.
