Join our award-winning program management team and bring transformational project solutions to life.As a Program Manager at Stantec, you will lead a team and ensure adherence to the mission and objectives of the assigned program. You will have leadership responsibility for an integrated program team composed of both client and consultant staff.Your Key ResponsibilitiesAdvising and assisting the client in the development, management, and execution of the program.Leading and overseeing the work of a multi-disciplinary client, consultant, and sub consultant team.Serving as a trusted advisor to the client and working as part of an integrated Client/Consultant Leadership Team.Assisting the client with implementing a robust governance structure to ensure adherence to a rigorous approach to project and program management.Pro-actively identifying client needs and programmatic initiatives to address potential program delivery risks and challenges.Assisting the client in development of its staff through implementation of best practices, training classes, and knowledge transfer.Developing, negotiating, and managing consultant services authorizations for program management services.Preparing or overseeing preparation of various reports for the client and the company.Reviewing consultant and contractor submittals including technical and contractual documents.Providing programmatic and technical support related to client governing bodies and various other departments.QualificationsYour Capabilities and CredentialsStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment.Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey program and project delivery needs to the client.Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.Strong technical understanding of water and wastewater utility infrastructure, organizations, and processes.Knowledgeable in relevant areas of construction and understanding of various design and construction contracting methods.Knowledge of local, state, and federal building codes, construction principles, techniques, and procedures.Experience supporting sales processes for acquisition of new program opportunities is desirable.Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field required.20 years’ experience in the management of large water/wastewater projects/programs, including 10 years' experience with team management in planning, design, and/or construction of utility infrastructure.10 years’ overseeing programs with a large construction management element.PreferredMS in Engineering or MBA.PMP / PgMP (PMI).Design-Build Professional (DBIA).Experience with collaborative delivery models (e.g., CMAR, CMGC, Progressive Design-Build) preferred.This description is not a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that may be required of the employee and other duties may be assigned or changed at any time with or without notice.Stantec is a place where the best and brightest come to build on each other’s talents, do exciting work, and make an impact on the world around us.
