Job Purpose and Overview

As an integrated member of the Finance Supply Chain team, the Financial Analyst III is a key business partner to the North America Supply Chain Functions supporting 20+ Distribution Centers, as well as Regional and Functional Supply Chain Leaders providing financial analytics, guidance, and insights on effective and efficient Supply Chain execution that are varied and complex in nature. The ideal candidate will have experience with the timely processing of month-end close books and working within a role demanding proactive support in formulating budgets and forecasts. Persistent collaboration across the entire Dawn business at all levels on operational and strategic thoughts is key to success.

This is a hybrid position that requires in-person training at the Home Office in Jackson, MI for the first two months (2 weeks per month) with up to 15% travel.

What will you do as a Financial Analyst III at Dawn Foods?

Under limited supervision and in close coordination with the NA Finance Supply Chain peers, supports all US Supply Chain functions with thought leadership covering all business aspects and financial analytics that are varied, complex, and repetitive in nature.Co-leads and co-executes with the NA Finance Supply Chain peers on the month-end close process for all NA Distribution Centers ensuring stated and reliable financial statements. This includes reviewing actual versus budgeted/forecasted spending and issuing monthly variance statements.Provides leadership, guidance, and assistance to the Supply Chain Regions, SIOP, Ops Management, and Transportation areas in the formulation of their budgets/forecasts.Business partners with the Supply Chain leaders and Distribution Center Supply Chain Leaders to elaborate insights and financial key metrics to make recommendations on actions to improve supply chain execution aligned with Dawn's business strategy. Conducts analyses in such areas as financial performance, cost per pound, cases per people hour, utilization, mix, rate of return, working capital, investments, and other financial-related matters.Supports SIOP across all Regions and manufacturing plants on all aspects related to inventory and inventory write-offs (reporting, accruals, loss reduction, turnover increase, DIOH optimization, etc).Conducts special financial and business-related studies as requested by management, including supporting the creation of ROI/CER analytics.Plays a significant role in designing, implementing, administering, continuously improving, and running financial systems, business templates, and procedures ensuring internal controls and efficient as well as effective execution.Assists in the development of business policies and performance measures.Works collaboratively across company functions and the entire finance team to reach Dawn's overall business goals.Provide backup support for other Finance positions as required.Provide coaching and guidance to Business Partners as needed.Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.Demonstrates the "Dawn Values" of Team Dawn and supports the Circle of Excellence.

What Does It Take to be a Financial Analyst III at Dawn Foods?

Below are the minimum qualifications to be a fit for this job.

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related discipline. Master's degree preferred.Minimum of five years of related financial experience as a Finance Business Partner.Experience within the supply chain or related field preferred.Demonstrated strong commercial business acumen and understanding coupled with the desire to understand the details as well as the strategic view.Demonstrated ability to communicate complex situations in easy-to-understand and digestible thoughts.Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel including Visual Basic, PowerPoint, etc.SAP required; Oracle desired.Ability to provide financial support and handle multiple tasks within an open and interactive environment.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to work under pressure to meet short deadlines.

Compensation Range:$76,460- $119,280 with bonus incentive
